- National Public Lands Day
100 Vigorous Volunteers Needed! Join this nation-wide event and kick off the summer with some hard core trail work! Help Cottonwood Canyons Foundation and partners improve our canyons by assisting with new trail construction, rehabilitation, invasive weed removal, and litter clean-up. All necessary tools and instruction will be provided. Learn some new skills, make some new friends, and get some fresh air, all while giving back to the canyons we love so much!
Pre-registration is required. To volunteer for this event, please fill out our National Public Lands Day Registration Form. Registration closes Thursday, September 28 at 5 PM.
Participants must be 13 years or older for trail work, or 8 years or older for weed pull/litter clean-up. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Location: TBD. Additional location details, instructions & parking information will be emailed to registered participants 1 week before the event.
- 8:00 – 8:30 AM Breakfast and check-in begins
- 8:30 – 8:45 AM Welcome, Safety Talk, Work begins
- 1:00 – Wrap up Work, Lunch
Required for work: Long pants, boots or other sturdy, close-toed shoes, and work gloves. Work gloves will be provided for those who need them. Please bring your own hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, water bottle, weather appropriate clothing, backpack, and other personal items as needed.
