Summer and Fall Volunteer Stewardship Projects

Trail Work and Weed Pulls Join events listed or schedule a work day for yourself or for your group. All volunteer events require pre-registration by calling (801) 930-5010 ext.100 or emailing volunteer@cottonwoodcanyons.org


National Trails Day Help improve our trails on our public lands by helping with trail building, trail maintenance, litter clean-up and invasive weed removal!100 vigorous volunteers needed (must be 13 yrs or older) or invasive weed removal (must be 8 yrs or older).


Silver Lake Restoration Day Help clean up trails and restore damaged areas by planting native trees and wildflowers!


Little Cottonwood Highway Cleanup Day


Town of Alta Restoration Day 


Alta Ski Area Clean Up Day  Ride the lift, hike down and help gather winter trash and keep Albion Basin beautiful! Ages 10 and up, families welcome.


Alta Tree Planting Help clean up trails and restore damaged areas by planting native trees and wildflowers!

Ongoing Trail Work Tuesdays through Saturdays, June through October.  Ages 13+


Ongoing Invasive Weed Pulls Weeknight Pulls – Thurs 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. May through August. Also available daytime, Tues through Sat, by scheduling. Ages 8+
