Located in Big Cottonwood Canyon, Solitude is a locals’ favorite mountain with some of the best, most pristine terrain in North America. Unhurried and attentive staff, family-friendly atmosphere, and a variety of lodging options make it a memorable experience for anyone. Solitude is a family-oriented mountain, with a wider range of beginner and intermediate slopes than other nearby ski resorts; 50% of its slopes are graded “beginner” or “intermediate,” the highest such ratio in the Salt Lake City area. Solitude sports 80 runs, 2,494 vertical feet, and 1,200 skiable acres.
