Other Ways to Give

Cottonwood Canyons Foundation

Honorariums and Memorials

Give a gift in honor or memory of a loved one and the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation will send the individual or family an acknowledgement of your gift. Families often also include the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation as a beneficiary of donations in lieu of flowers. This is a lasting and special way to honor the people who mean the most to us.

Appreciated Securities

By donating publicly traded stocks, bonds or mutual funds, you can support the critical work of the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation, while receiving a charitable tax deduction and avoiding capital gains tax.  Gifting appreciated securities is a simple and effective way to support the Canyons.

Donor Advised Funds

You may choose to make a charitable donation to the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation through your donor advised fund. A Donor-advised fund allows a donor to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction and then make gifts from the fund over time.  Donors may consider giving to CCF from their already established donor-advised fund, or a donor-advised fund can be established with a number of entities, including community foundations and financial service companies.

IRA and Qualified Retirement Plans

By making the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation a full or partial beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k) or other qualified retirement plan, the Foundation receives the full benefit of the funds (as otherwise applicable income taxes are avoided). Because of this tax savings, these assets are often gifted to charities like the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation as part of a charitable estate plan.

Planned Giving

A planned gift is created by naming the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation as a beneficiary in your will, establishing a charitable trust, or giving through your life insurance policy.  These giving methods are simple and effective ways to make a lasting impact now and for years to come.
