SUMMARY:Solitude Earth Day Ski with a Ranger
DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the US Forest Service\, the Ski with a Ranger program is based at Alta\, Snowbird\, Brighton and Solitude resorts. \nParticipants join Volunteer Naturalist Rangers on the ski slopes\nto learn about the Cottonwood Canyons’ geology\, history\,\nwinter ecology\, watershed\, wildlife\, and more. \nThese free\, guided tours frequent only easy or intermediate ski runs and last approximately 45 minutes. A lift ticket or pass is required. Participants must be able to ski beginner and intermediate terrain proficiently. \nTours are offered at 1 pm. Please meet at the top of Moonbeam Lift at Solitude Mountain Resort.

The resorts see a wide mix of visitors each summer—from families on guided and self-guided wildflower walks to day-trippers who normally come up during football season to catch games through NFL online betting sites before heading outdoors. Exhibits from local organizations add to the sense of community\, and the 2023 Festival will be held on the following dates and locations: July 8 (Brighton Ski Resort\, in conjunction with the Brighton Institute’s Brighton Days)\, July 9 (Solitude Mountain Resort)\, July 15 (Snowbird Ski Resort)\, and July 16 (Alta Ski Area). The event is free\, but registration is required. Registration will be open in May\, please check back.
