Plant Stewardship Activity Date
The Cottonwood Canyons Foundation strives to continually focus on stewardship by organizing a variety of summer volunteer events, offering volunteer activity days in the Tri-Canyon area from May through October that are essential to our plant stewardship, weed management, and restoration goals. The Cottonwood Canyons Foundations hopes to give all levels of canyon recreators the opportunity to become stewards of the lands themselves.

Canyons’ Kids Day Alta 2026
Co-hosted by the Alta Environmental Center, Canyons’ Kids Day is located at Alta, Utah, near the end of Little Cottonwood Canyon. This free event introduces children and their families to a variety of nature topics through hands-on activities and experiences. Partners include Alta Community Enrichment, Friends of Alta, TreeUtah, Tracy Aviary, and HawkWatch International. This event is offered free of charge, but registration is required.
